Stephen Doorey driver and team owner of FireBall Racing has thrown his support behind the RX8 Cup coming on board as a series partner. Doorey returned to the RX8 Cup in 2026 after his battle with cancer. The Central Coast based driver made his inspirational comeback to racing at the Sydney Enduro back in May partnering with Ben Shaw and has since gone on to race in every round of the season.

Doorey has now expanded FireBall Racing to a two car team heading into the final two rounds of the season.
The RX8 Cup is thrilled to have the support from Fire Ball Racing and wish Stephen and the team all the best for the remainder of the year. Round 5 of the championship takes us to One Raceway 23-25th of October
